The active ingredient in Nexium 24HR is esomeprazole magnesium. It works by reducing the amount of acid made by glands in the stomach.
Nexium 24HR is usually taken once a day, with or without food. Do not take more than once a day. Always take the medication as directed by your healthcare provider. Esomeprazole magnesium should be taken at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in the body. Take Nexium 24HR with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to the normal schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Wash your hands before you take this medication. It is highly likely that your healthcare provider will determine that you have a mild to serious allergic reaction to Nexium 24HR. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat, and trouble breathing or swallowing. If you get rash, get medical help right away. If the rash does not stop, or if it is reapplication if it becomes severe. You may experience coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath. If this occurs, get medical help right away. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any persistent or worsening symptoms of an allergic reaction such as a swollen tongue or throat, facial flushing, nasal congestion, cold symptoms, shakiness, rash, or other unexplained vaginal bleeding. Directions I use Nexium 24HR
Take this product with or without food as directed by a doctor. The dosage is based on factors such as weight, age, and kidney function. If you have any questions regarding this product or dose, please contact a doctor. I use the following dosage in my diet:
• Eat less than 3/10 of a diet to get the best results: 30-60% of foods are not made for the stomach.• Take the right amount. I use 40-70% of a diet to help get the best results. • Eat about every 4-6 hours. • Try to eat foods that are at least 40-70% less than you should. • Try to eat foods that are below 70% of the calories from fat. • Avoid high-fat foods. • Eat low-fat foods too. • Eat foods that are below 35% of the calories from fat. • Avoid too much spicy or fatty foods. • Avoid too little or too much drinking water. • Avoid too much alcohol. • Avoid too much protein. • Avoid any fried, fatty, spicy, or fatty foods. • Avoid alcoholic beverages. • If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding, then tell your doctor right away. Nexium 24HR can harm an unborn baby if you take it during your pregnancy.
